No the liner was not opened to check for bias material the stitching came loose in that area the liner material was actually to big for the cap I know because this was my cap for some years

I like it quite a bit, and am glad I have it. It like all of my caps are tucked away at my parents place for the next 3-4 years :/ Matt

the liner material was actually to big for the cap I noticed that. They must have pulled the wrong size off the shelf but once it's sewn in, no point taking it out again.
