Have you cleaned these up at all Seba? Maybe dusted them off?
I'm surprised when these were found the people didn't throw them away. I'm glad they saw the historical value in them. I doubt anyone could repair these caps. Good for studying though!

I think i would be inclined to remove as much useful pieces as possible ,ie the visors, cap cords,buttons, insignias, side pieces and piping, bands and cap springs for any future items that need minimal restoration, also the undamaged cloth could be used as filling for slight mothing
